We cut curls differently to what you may have be used to. Our team uses new professionally trained curly methods to cut curls which is entirely different to a “dry curly cut” or traditional wet curly cut.
We cut the curls dry – first. Because the curls are cut individually, with each curl “family”, we need to see the natural curl pattern. This is especially important because curly hair is not uniform, most people have multiple curl patterns and even textures on their head.

Are you new to a curly salon or curly girl?
At Curly Cuts, our pricing structure allows you to book precisely what you need. For those who are experienced with curly hair, you can simply book a haircut without the educational component. On the other hand, if you’re new to managing curly hair or need further guidance on products and techniques, we recommend booking a curly training session with Jacinta. These sessions are detailed and typically last about an hour and a half, as they are designed to teach all the necessary methods.
Teaching all the methods, etc., takes time ( approx one and a half hours) which is why we have our training sessions and a structured price list.
For newcomers, it’s often beneficial to book a training session one week and follow up with a curly cut the next week. This schedule allows you to apply the techniques at home and come back with any questions you might have.
If you prefer to complete both services on the same day, you can schedule a dry cut with one of our curly specialists first, followed by the training session with Jacinta about an hour later. Please plan for a total of approximately two and a half hours for both appointments if booked consecutively.
If you want to do this all on the same day, then book a dry cut only with one of our curly cutters first, then the training session with Jacinta an hour later. Allow 2 and a half hours all up if booking in one hit!
Curly training sessions are NOT included with curly cuts and must be booked separately. The cost of a curly training session is $85 and then the cost of the cut service selected.
