Whether you’re new to Curly Cuts or booking your first specialised curly cut with Leeanne, please take a few minutes to read this guide before booking. It will help you determine whether our specialised service is the right fit for your hair and how to prepare for your appointment.

As a solo operator, we are able to keep our specialised curly cutting services at an affordable price point, in line with the time it takes to perform a specialised curly cut. We offer a range of service options, so you can choose the level of service and price that best suits you.

We offer certified curly cutting, delivered personally by owner Leeanne and supported by years of advanced curly hair education and curly cutting classes beyond traditional hairdressing.

Leeanne — Specialised Curly Cutting Only

Although I am a fully qualified hairdresser of over 35 years experience, I am very selective about the types of curly cutting appointments I take on. My limited appointment times are only for specialised curly cutting, and not general hairdressing haircuts and techniques that can be performed at an any hair salon, which would take appointments away from the specialised curly cutting that Curly Cuts was created to provide.

Curly cutting appointments are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with selected appointment times available.

Curly Cuts is a multi-layered curly hair hub, with a variety of things happening in our space, including our retail store, refill bar, curl education and specialised curly cutting. Because of this, our specialised curly cutting is not available every day or during all of our opening hours.

Please note: We are currently unable to accept new-client bookings from 4pm onwards on Wednesdays, as these later appointments are fully allocated to our existing clients. New clients are very welcome to book from our other available appointment times.

If you are new to Curly Cuts, new to curly hair methods, or wanting to update to newer methods, you will also need to book one of our Curly Cuts Curl Education Classes. Full curl education, routines and techniques are not included within our haircut appointments, as we cannot focus fully on your specialised cut while teaching a complete curl routine at the same time, and there simply isn’t enough time to cover everything properly within a cutting service. Below you’ll find all of our curly cutting options, prices, appointment information and booking link so you can choose the service and price range that best suits you.

1. Dry Curly Cut — $115

This service Includes a dry curly cut only – no washing ,no refreshing, or styling is included in this service. You’ll leave as is after the cut. Hair must be clean, fully dry, and detangled prior to your appointment. Some product in the hair is fine. Duration: Up to 1 hour approximately. Suitable for return clients or anyone NOT wanting a wash or refresh . If this is your first visit to Curly Cuts, or you are new to the Curly Girl method or wanting to update to newer methods then we strongly recommend booking a Curly Cuts class prior, as it is not possible to cover full education, routines, and techniques within the time allocated for a haircut service.

2.Dry Curly Cut + Refresh (No Wash Service) — $155

This appointment includes a dry curly cut and wet refresh with water spray bottle or dry refresh. There is no basin work included. If a wet refresh is performed, the hair will be sprayed with a water bottle, micro-plopped & you will leave with wet hair. If you choose a dry refresh, we’ll use our dry refresh techniques, with no or minimal water. Please allow up to approximately 1.5 hours for this appointment. Hair must be clean, completely dry, & detangled prior to your appointment. Some styling product in the hair is fine. If your cut takes longer due to extra thick hair, or late arrival, the service option will be a Dry Refresh. If this is your first visit to Curly Cuts, or you are new to the Curly Girl method or wanting to update to newer methods then we strongly recommend booking a Curly Cuts class as well, as it is not possible to cover full education, routines, and techniques within the time allocated for a haircut service.

3.Curly Cut + Cleanse (No Dry) — $200

This appointment includes a dry curly cut, followed by a gentle conditioner wash at the basin using a curl-friendly conditioner, then styling and hair is microplopped. You will leave with wet hair.

Please note: because you arrive with clean pre washed and dry hair for dry curly cutting, traditional washing is not used at the basin. Instead, we perform a gentle conditioner wash (co-wash) at the basin after cutting.

Before your appointment, hair must be: • Clean • Completely dry • Fully detangled • Worn in its natural curl pattern

Your usual styling products in the hair are perfectly fine. Please allow up to approximately 1 hour 45 minutes for this appointment. If this is your first visit to Curly Cuts, or you are new to the Curly Girl method or wanting to update to newer methods then we strongly recommend also booking a Curly Cuts class, as it is not possible to cover full education, routines, and techniques within the time allocated for a haircut service.

4. Dry Curly Cut + Cleanse + Dry — $250

This appointment includes a dry curly cut, followed by a gentle conditioner wash at the basin using a curl-friendly conditioner, then styling and drying.
